Synopsis: A girl bakes a cake for her boyfriend but it takes a deadly turn.
Production
In Dado’s media lab, his teacher asked him to make a manifesto about AI. His idea was a machine called P.A.I.C (Personal. Artificial. Intelligent. Chef) where it used an algorithm to make recipe. There was the issue of AI rebelling against humanity and manipulating them into making poisonous meals. The original idea was to make a small commercial at the beginning about the machine, then a continuation about the meal the girl made being poisionous. Eventually, it was decided to separate the two ideas with the commercial being it’s own thing and the short film. Filming took a single day at a friends house on April 15, 2024.
It is the first Dado Productions movie to be presented in Black & White. During post production, Dado wanted to make it black and white to have a vintage look of the 60’s as that decade was ambitious about the future. He was inspired about the idea from Wandavision.
Release
The film was released June 21, 2024 on YouTube, breaking a new record for the studio, hitting the breakeven of 500 views and received positively by audiences.
