Director’s Statement
I see this project as a film that was simply fun to make. It doesn’t carry a heavy message or deep thematic meaning, but it comes from a very real place. I wanted to capture the stress, anxiety, and creative tension that comes with working on a film set, especially when different visions start to clash.
The story is inspired by a true experience I had during a 24-hour film challenge, where progress constantly stalled because of disagreements in direction, style, and the overall chaotic energy of the team. That environment became the heart of the film.
I intentionally shot the cinematography myself in a documentary style to reflect that chaos. The shaky camera movements were meant to mirror the emotional instability on set, the pressure, the arguments, and the constant feeling that everything could fall apart at any moment.
At its core, Chaotic Production is an honest reflection of filmmaking realities. It’s not about dramatic, over-the-top conflicts, but about something more truthful: the stress of collaboration, the challenge of creative differences, and the messy, human side of trying to make something together.
